Dr. Staner is one of the few Neurological specialists in America Board Certified in both Neurosurgery and Neurology. He has more than twenty years experience in Microneurosurgery of the brain and spine. He is the founder and director of the Greystone Neuroscience Center. Dr. Thomas A. Staner is Director and Founder of the Greystone Neuroscience Center located at the Medstone Building on Highway 280 in Birmingham, Alabama. This is the first medical center in this region that has offered excellence in diagnostic imaging (with MRI scans, myelograms, CAT scans, etc) with immediate clinical follow-up, saving patients multiple trips to the doctor's office, especially appreciated by our patients who travel hundreds of miles and sometimes much more for neurosurgical evaluation.
